Richard’s hot water system is installed with 2 separate circuits each fed from a 180 litre unvented duel coil cylinder, giving the option of separate usage times. There is also a 180 litre twin coil custom thermal store which runs the bathroom towel rail circuits and facilitates the heating of a small swimming pool. These are fed from the Greenstar 30CDi system boiler, individually controlled, as well as from the Worcester Greenskies solar package. He opted for a 4 panel system. The excess, after heating the cylinders, is also fed via a heat exchanger, directly into the pool, ensuring that no available heat produced by the panels is wasted.
