Scott became Green Earth winner by installing a 9kW Greenstore ground source heat pump in his home in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Scott has been gradually modernising his own property, installing a retro fit underfloor heating system as he worked through the building. The Greenstore ground source heat pump was installed in a purpose-made plant room, adding a Worcester Greenstore 280 litre unvented cylinder later. He installed a separate electric meter to enable him to monitor the heat pump’s electrical consumption and, despite the cold spells this year, he is delighted with the electrical consumption to date.

Scott said: “With the lawn now taking shape, following the ground loop installation, the project looks to be a great success!”
