Paying by Direct Debit

Direct Debit: The easy way to pay

Once you have completed and signed the Direct Debit Instruction (DDI) on your Worcester, Bosch Group contract application or renewal form, payments will be arranged between Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd. and your bank or building society. But you are still in complete control. The direct debit arrangement will continue for as long as you like.

You are in control

You will always know in advance how much, and when, your account will be debited. No money will be collected unless you have authorised it. A regular check of your statement will reassure you that payments have been made correctly.

How to pay by Direct Debit

To pay by Direct Debit, all you need to do is to fill in the following sections of the Direct Debit Instruction:-

  • Name and full postal address of your bank or building society
  • Name(s) of account holders(s)
  • Branch sort code
  • Bank or building society account number
  • Instruction to your bank or building society
  • Payment date
  • Reference number: because the Direct Debit reference which Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd will quote to your bank or building society varies each month, this section will be filled by Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd.

Most of the information you need can be obtained from either the bottom of your cheques, a debit card or from your Bank or Building Society statements. To avoid any potential delays in setting up your DDI, it is important that the listed sections on the DDI are completed fully and carefully.

Once you have filled in the DDI please send it, with your Worcester contract application or renewal form, to us at the address below:

Your Questions Answered

Can any organisation collect money by Direct Debit?

No. Banks and Building Societies only permit organisations with known integrity and sound financial and administrative capabilities to collect money by Direct Debit.

Does signing a Direct Debit mean that they can take money out of my account as they like?

No. They can collect only the authorised amount. If this, or the date of collection changes, you have to be told normally at least 14 days in advance so that you have time to query the bill if necessary.

What if I have insufficient money in my account to pay a Direct Debit?

The organisation concerned will normally re-present the Direct Debit within a few days.

What sort of account do I need to use Direct Debits?

Most current accounts at Banks and Building Societies can be used to make Direct Debit payments. Some special deposit accounts now allow them too – just ask your branch.

Will I still receive bills?

Yes, but they will only be for information and to check against your Bank or Building Society statement.

What happens if a mistake is made?

If an error is made by the organisation concerned or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your Bank or Building Society of the amount paid.
