Corporate social responsibility - Environment

Worcester is committed to being an environmentally responsible manufacturer, we have a number of policies in place to ensure that we are minimising our impact on the planet.

Boilers, solar heating and heat pumps

Worcester offers gas boilers and oil boilers, solar water heating, air source and ground source heat pumps that are continually developed to maximise their efficiency.

In 2010, due to 3.78 billion spent on research and development, an average of 15 patents were registered by Bosch every day. They’ve set aside 45% of the 2010 R&D budget which equates to 1.7 billion Euros, to focus on the environment and projects designed to conserve resources.

Zero to landfill

Setting new standards for the industry, our ‘zero-to-landfill’ approach is based on producing minimum carbon from the outset, rather than offsetting it later on down the line.

We’re doing this by working with suppliers, employees and the local community in the location of our factory sites.

ISO 50001 Certification

ISO 50001 is a worldwide standard which represents the latest international best practice in energy management.

The British Standards Institution has awarded the certification to Bosch Thermotechnology for its continued improvement in meeting energy performance targets and is a mark of its dedicated commitment to sustainability.
