CIPHE

The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) is the professional and technical body for the UK plumbing and heating industry. It is a registered educational charity, which promotes high standards of plumbing and heating engineering to the public and those within the industry.
As the professional body for the Industry, the CIPHE aims to raise standards. We liaise with government groups, contribute to consultation documents and sit on many industry working groups and panels. The Institute chairs the Minimum Technical Competency Group and Competent Persons Forum.
The CIPHE’s priority is public safety and health, they run various campaigns which inform consumers of the importance of using professional plumbing and heating engineers.
The industry is changing, becoming more energy efficient and exploring new technology. The CIPHE arranges technical evenings, through its branches, seminars and conferences, all aimed at bringing members up-to-date with new technology and standards.
