The course
The OFTEC 101 & 105e course covers domestic/light commercial pressure jet boiler installation, commissioning and servicing.
A requirement of the recently introduced Building Regulations 2001 - Part L (England and Wales) and Part J (Scotland) is that every boiler installation must be self-certified by a “competent person”.
In the case of oil boiler installations, an installer who holds the appropriate OFTEC registration is deemed to be a “competent person” and is therefore able to carry out the self-certification process.
Worcester is now offering specialist OFTEC Training and Assessment programmes, which include UKAS accredited certification by NICEIC, at our Training centres.
Please note - Training is not a pre-requisite of taking an assessment
The OFTEC courses are designed for installers who have a minimum of one year’s experience within the oil industry. For installers with limited or no experience in the oil industry, we recommend our one day Oil Appreciation Course as an ideal method of gaining some Pre-OFTEC knowledge.
Note: Please remember that you are required to provide your National Insurance Number and photographic proof of identification such as a driving licence, CORGI card or passport, when registering for this programme.
