The Value of a brand is measured by asking YouGov panellists two questions, ‘Which of the following major appliance brands do you think represents GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY?’ By that we don't mean "cheap," but that the brands offer a customer a lot in return for the price paid. And, ‘Now which of the following major appliance brands do you think represents POOR VALUE FOR MONEY?’ By that, we don't mean "expensive," but that the brands do not offer a customer much in return for the price paid.

A brand’s Value score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of respondents who think the brand represents 'Poor Value for Money' from those who think it represents 'Good Value for money'.

Most Recommended Boiler Brand

A brand’s Recommend score is measured by asking YouGov panellists two questions, ‘Which of the following major appliance brands would you RECOMMEND to a friend or colleague?’ And, ‘And which of the following major appliance brands would you tell a friend or colleague to AVOID?’

A brand’s Recommend score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of respondents who would ‘tell a friend or colleague’ to ‘avoid’ the brand from those who would ‘recommend’ the brand ‘to a friend or colleague’.

Best Quality Boiler Brand

The Quality perception of a brand is measured by asking YouGov panellists two questions, Which of the following major appliance brands do you think represents GOOD QUALITY and, Now which of the following major appliance brands do you think represents POOR QUALITY?

A brand’s Quality score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of respondents who think the brand represents 'good quality’ from those who think it represents ‘poor quality’.
