Worcester Bosch scoops two awards at this year’s HVR Awards

We’re delighted to announce that we have won in two categories in this year’s prestigious HVR Awards. Our CS5800i Hybrid Heat Pump took the Domestic Heating Product of the year and our very own Sales & Marketing Director, Jo Shepherd was voted the HVAC Woman of the Year (Heating, Plumbing & Renewables). 

A panel of judges chose the CS5800i, whilst there was an industry-wide vote for HVAC Woman of the Year. 

The CS5800i - launched back in April 2024 - was co-created with installers and developed to directly address limitations in hybrid systems, which can fall short due to fixed output ranges, bulky buffer tanks, and complex installations. The CS5800i overcomes these limitations with a series of key innovations, including flexible heat outputs, space-saving design and multiple options for swift installation. 

We are proud of all the team who were behind the development of this award-winning product and hope it is a sign that the industry is heading in the right direction for the wider adoption of hybrid technology. 

Jo Shepherd joined us in October 2022 and in the last three years has made a significant impact on our organisation, our customers and the industry as a whole. She has reinvigorated our teams, shifted our focus when engaging with customers and led a number of strategic initiatives to ensure further transformation of us as a company.  

She also has a passion for supporting women and diverse talent in technical, operational and commercial functions. This includes being the executive sponsor of the Bosch UK Inspiring Women in Leadership Programme, which supports the development and visibility of emerging female leaders across engineering and business operations.  

Her latest accolade follows her being named on the 2024 Management Today Women in Leadership Power List.  

Speaking of the HVR Awards Jo Shepherd said; “I’m proud of the team who have delivered the CS5800i and want to thank all installers whose feedback and collaboration helped develop this product. Hybrid heating systems need to be seen as an essential part of the future home heating mix - hopefully this award shows a shift in the right direction. 

“I also want to thank everyone who voted for me. I was delighted to have been nominated a HVAC Woman of the Year alongside some great women in the industry, and to then be chosen by the industry is an honour. 

“I am passionate about supporting women as they enter or develop their careers in our market - and this award helps fuel that passion even further.”
