Perfect for high rise buildings and apartments
Our Heat Interface Units (HIU) are the perfect solution for providing hot water and space heating to properties which are serviced from district heating and a centralised plant room.
Our HIUs reduce the risk of gas supply within individual properties, meaning annual gas safety checks for each apartment is no longer required – all checks are carried out in the centralised plant room which you can have direct access to at your convenience.
HIUs also reduce the need to fit individual flues and condensate pipework in each residential property.
Designed with the future in mind
Following the Hackitt Review, you can no longer install individual gas boilers within high rise new builds.
Designed to meet the latest and future market requirements, our Greenstar HIU range includes a top-of-the-range appliance that offers 21 litres per minute flow rate.
How heat networks will play a significant role in Net Zero 2050 carbon target
Heat networks are advantageous to local authorities and housing associations looking to lower their home heating carbon emissions.
Heat networks can provide an easier way to incorporate renewable technologies, in a single location, rather than in individual properties.
Everything you’re looking for
- Our units comprises of two heat exchangers to provide instant domestic hot water at a regulated temperature, as well as space heating within the property
- The units operate only when DHW or space heating is required
- The HIU also comes complete with a first fix rail which allows for the system to be pre-plumbed before the unit is installed
- Our E Plus and KE Plus models are BESA registered and tested. BESA operate the UK standard for HIU testing with typical UK operating conditions.
