What is Eco mode?
In Eco mode the boiler will not fire throughout the day to keep itself warm. This is more economical in terms of gas usage, but hot water delivery speed to the taps may be slower because the boiler fires from cold each time the tap is run. What is PreHeat mode?
In PreHeat mode it is normal for the boiler to fire throughout the day when there is no active heating or hot water demand to keep itself warm and ready for a hot water demand, meaning the hot water can be delivered to the tap faster. If the boiler is not in Eco mode, it is in PreHeat mode. You can see how to switch between the two modes on our combi boilers below.
