Located within an area designated as an ‘Urban Area of Special Residential Character’, the design of Woodhayes successfully embodies the ‘arts and crafts’ characteristics of the area and preserves the visual qualities of the surroundings. Woodhayes gives the impression of a single large dwelling, a Manor house, carefully and cleverly divided into twelve individual apartments. To attain certain renewable energy targets, Runnymede Homes specified the installation of 16 Worcester Greenskies FKT high performance solar panels, housed on the flat roof of the building, with accompanying Greenskies twin coil cylinders and controllers.
