Greenskies solar thermal heating installation winner
High Wycombe installer, Richard Smith of Smiths Heating Services Ltd, carried out the installation of a solar water heating installation at a local private property. The owner wanted a system which would be environmentally friendly and also offer a consistent level of heating. Richard installed three Greenskies Solar Lifestyle in-roof collectors and a Greenstar 30CDi gas-fired System boiler coupled with weather compensation control and a Greenstore 300l unvented cylinder. The system used three separate underfloor heating manifolds and a low loss header was fitted, with the cylinder being connected directly to the hot water flow and return on the tap rail.
