BESA Affiliate Membership

Published: 09-08-2023

We are delighted to announce that Worcester Bosch is officially an affiliate member of BESA (Building Engineering Services Association).

BESA is the UK’s leading trade association for companies that design, install, commission and maintain HVAR projects. They provide quality assurance services, promotes excellence and aims to enhance the commercial environment in which its members operate through representation and leadership as well as technical support tailored to industry specialists.

Combining Worcester Bosch and BESA’s expertise in areas such as delivering building engineering services, as well as policy navigation in an ever-developing industry, membership also provides access to a library of online courses to stay up to date and continue professional development.

Martyn Bridges, Director of Technical Services

“We are delighted to become an affiliate member of such a respected and longstanding organisation such as BESA. We have collaborated on the very successful Heat pump training course and been delighted at the take-up it has received and we will continue to play an active role within BESA.”

Pete Mills, Commercial Technical Operations Manager at Worcester Bosch had this to say on the BESA membership:

"BESA is a long-standing trade association and we are proud to become affiliate members. With the challenges our industry faces to meet Net Zero targets, it is more important than ever that we support our trade associations. BESA became an important information channel through Covid and lockdown and has been at the forefront of navigating the industry through the challenges of Brexit, UKCA marking, the Building Safety Act and other industry changes.- There has never been a time when we have seen so many Government consultations, regulation changes and new standards as this and it is set to continue. Through my personal involvement with BESA as a member of the HIU Test Standard steering group, I have seen how BESA is helping to improve outcomes for consumers in heat networks. Behind work like this there are many hours spent by volunteers to help the industry develop in the right direction.”
